JUMER COSMER

In his early years of his career, he worked as an apprentice AutoCAD operator in a design consulting firm in Manila. A company that engages in Civil and Structural Designing in Guam. He was assigned mainly on conceptual drawings for bidding purposes. After quite some time, with eagerness and dedication to his work, he was promoted to Senior CAD specialist to supervise all the production of conceptual, design, construction, and shop drawings and coordinate to the main office in Guam for review and approval.

After three years of supervising the support office in Manila, he was offered to work in the main branch as a Civil Engineer – Structural CAD. He was assigned on multiple projects during his six years stay, such as commercial, government projects and mostly Military design build projects. He usually attended the pre-bid site inspection and in charge to produced preliminary design and schematic drawings. He liaised with the clients and contractor from the start of construction to the completion of the projects. Upon end of his contract, he went back to Manila office to retain his role for another three years.

He worked in New Zealand for the role of Civil Engineering Draftsperson for a Precast/Prestressed company. There he honed his skills in shop drawing, scheduling and quality control for manufacturing of precast/pre-stress concrete products.

He took a leap of faith to improve his BIM skills and applied as a CAD/BIM drafter to familiarize with the most updated software/ a new platform. His persuasion to learn will put out the best in him.
